We are rural and urban and we are always about the message of Jesus.

YFC Oklahoma City reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ, and commitment to social involvement.

“The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”—Mark 10:45

At Youth For Christ Oklahoma City, we wholeheartedly embrace the “and” of Mark 10:45. Jesus came to serve and to deliver the message of transformation. He came to embrace and to liberate. We look to Him as we carry out that “and” — the call to act, with an eternal perspective.

WHERE WE ARE

YFC has more than 160 chapters impacting thousands of communities across the nation.   It is our goal to connect every student in Oklahoma City to a likeminded church or community partner where they may mentored and experience the love of Jesus.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

All YFC USA staff, volunteers and board members must affirm our Statement of Faith and exclusive claims of allegiance that Jesus Christ makes upon everyone who would follow Him as Christians. With that understanding, they agree with and adhere fo the Statement of Faith as one of Youth For Christ's leaders, entrusted to advance the YFC mission.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

In our ministry, we are guided by five essential guiding lights that we believe lead to sustainable and fruitful ministry at over 2000 YFC Ministry Sites across the nation.

THE FIVE ESSENTIALS

1. Widespread Prayer

We deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site.

2. Loving Relationships

We consistently pursue lost kids & engage them in life-long relationships with Jesus.

3. Faithful Bible Teaching

We accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives

4. Collaborative Community Strategy

We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth     and family ministry.

5. Adults Who Empower

We strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group.

YFC OKC - 5 STEP STRATEGY

Step 1: Campus Ministry
Relationships between the Campus Life staff and students are formed quickly when our staff have a significant presence on the campus. Our staff serve on campus each week with the purpose of loving, challenging, and encouraging students.

Step 2: Church
We believe that in order for YFC to reach its full potential it will take a great effort to collaborate with churches and other like-minded organizations in the community. Together we can help change communities as we partner in the discipleship process of young people.

Step 3: Core
The Core is made up of student leaders who prioritize their relationship with Jesus.  These students are striving to grow in their walk with Jesus and are being discipled by adult volunteers.

Step 4: Club
The Club is designed to be a fun event where Core students help plan and lead. They are also responsible to bring the friends they’ve been praying for to introduce them to YFC and the message of Jesus Christ.

Step 5: Camp
Each summer, camp has the potential to be the highlight of the year. This is a critical time to pull students away from their normal home environments and help them focus on their lives and how much more fulfilling it would be to follow God’s plan instead of their own.
